China Avoids Wall on Silica Brick Imports

The U.S. International Trade Commission voted unanimously on Dec. 12 that the U.S. industry producing silica bricks was not injured by imports from China. Therefore, there will be no anti-dumping duties imposed, notwithstanding a finding by the Department of Commerce of dumping of between 64 and 73 percent. Dan Klett of Capital Trade testified on behalf of importer SunCoke, and Chinese producer Tianjin New Century Refractories.
