USW Rolls Out Tire Petition Against China

A section 701 (countervailing duty) & 731 (antidumping duty) petition was filed on June 3, 2014 on Passenger Vehicle and Light Truck Tires from the People’s Republic of China (AD & CVD) by Stewart and Stewart on behalf of United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, Allied Industrial and Service Workers International Union, AFL-CIO, and CLC (“USW”).  In April 2009, the USW filed a safeguard 421 petition against tires from China.  In September of the same year, President Obama imposed safeguard duties for three years.

The case numbers are 701-TA-522 and 731-TA-1258. The ITC preliminary schedule is below:
